The Fountain Room

The Fountain Room

That’s a fair depiction of me painting, although my friend Elena thinks I’m prettier. My name is Cassidy Quinlan, half American Apache, half U.S. Cavalry. I grew up in Farmington, New Mexico. A place where you have to be half crazy if you want to be an artist and make a living at it.

I was getting my life together when Elana and I got into some trouble, actually she did. The Fountain Room is our story; about having dreams in a small, southwestern town and about three men we encountered. One sold pills, one looked like Trouble with a capital T, and one was…open range. That one said he liked to hang out with the rabbits and coyotes.

If that’s not enough to interest you in ordering ORIGINAL CONTENT, Seven Short Stories for Movie Mavens, Volume 2 by Len Koepsell, perhaps you’re city folk. Perhaps rattlesnakes in the desert, what makes a young girl sing or drugstores with soda fountains don’t interest you. “Nihi łizh dii nizhóní.” That’s Apache for “May your life be good.”
