Sorina’s America
A ‘Yooper’? I didn’t know what it meant back in Bucharest. I didn’t know a lot of things about America before I touched down in Upper Michigan–all the way from Romania. My name is Sorina and I wanted to come to America so bad, I agreed to marry a guy I met online. A bad decision? Sometimes it takes one or two to get you out of a rut. I made more than two.
Sorina’s America is my story in ORIGINAL CONTENT, Seven Short Stories for Movie Mavens, Volume 2, by Len Koepsell. Don’t read it if you’ve never hung out at a bar, ideally in Wisconsin. Otherwise do, definitely order a copy. Also, don’t read it if you’ve never dated the wrong guy. Otherwise do, definitely. Finally, don’t read it if you don’t believe in the kindness of strangers. Otherwise do, definitely.
